Christmas Eve!

Today is the 24th of December which means.....Christmas Eve! You know that today is the weekend before my two week vacation from my school? It was pretty lame dying from last minute tests throughout this week. Getting out on the 23rd seems very.... x.x This week I had been staying after school for some extracurricular activities such as volunteering for art club's art gallery! Our club's gallery also included a button fundraiser where members designed buttons and we choose the ones to sell! I also designed one but it w wasn't selected for we had too many designs this year :(

BUT! I was honorable mentioned! Here's my design.
The other members digitized it so it looks pretty funny. My hand drawn version had a bit more color in it... hehe.

SO! I have been talking about the kitchen remodeling for some time and it's just one step away from completion! I'll probably edit this post later to add photos in. :)

Winds blowing SoCal....!

As some of you may have heard on the news or read an article about it, some winds blew Southern California! Man, it was hectic. Some who woke up around 3 in the morning to go to the bathroom or such may have heard the strong gusts of wind. My dad had to give my dogs a towel to sleep with in their little dog house and cover it with some sort of garden cover to prevent plants from knocking down on them ;-;!

I didn't realize how many things toppled over until I was on the way to school for zero period (6:45 AM). I saw many trees broken (not sawed) by the winds overnight. For the first time in my experience, school has been canceled due to power outage! Isn't it usually the snowy areas that get school closed? Wow, and I found out today that we have no school tomorrow too!

Oh darn it, I actually looked forward to school today. I bet the teachers' lesson plans are all jumbled up now. O_O

11/24 : My birthday!

On the day of Thanksgiving, it was my 16th birthday! With our kitchen in renovation, there wasn't anything special we could do. Meaning no big feast! My older sister decided that we eat hot pot in the patio and I didn't really mind. Of course, I wanted to eat these fish roe balls because they were just SO addicting!

I know how your 16th birthday was supposed to be the best... mine wasn't really spectacular. Everything just felt "ehh" and I just invited my dad's friend's son over. Most of my friends were out of town during this break so it was basically my family, d-f-s, and my older sis's friend Jennifer. It was alright, though! I'm still waiting for my new taobao haul. This time, there's some liz lisa :]

Now, enough text! Here's my cake :D
As you can see, there's lots of fruit and....no candles! Since our kitchen is in renovation, we had no kitchen and no kitchen meant lots of our stuff are in boxes. Coincidentally the candles were stored in the boxes :(

Strawberry fondant! ♥
It's a pretty cake! But if you look closely, there's a tiny bruise down there but it didn't really matter. x] Cutting that cake was so complicated since the fondant was like a wrapper. The cake pieces ended up being random and disfigured :C Well, I'm pretty much done with this entry so I hope you guys had a nice Thanksgiving!
CAN'T SEE ME! HUEHUEHUE.

11/11/11 : Make a Wish & Vet's Day!

Yes! There's no school today! I now know how it feels when people become a bit lazy to blog about things they've been doing. What have I done? Other than my Anime Expo maid outfit for Halloween, playing music for elementary/middle school students, screaming my lungs out cheering for the football team as I play my bass drum, and the kitchen remodeling in-the-making.... it was great. Happy month of November!

This month is also the month I turn sixteen....! I was so upset on Thursday because I can't donate blood unless I'm that age! I've always wondered how it would be to donate blood to the Red Cross that visits 3-4 times a school year. I hear that I can save three lives with one pint! I believe it's a good thing to donate your blood so it can be given to a person with any blood disease such as leukemia and sickle cell.

Save a life!
So I give my respect for the veterans who risked their lives to fight for our country. Although there's some ideas I don't agree with, it's their choice to serve for the country!

I hope you guys make a BIG wish today at 11:11pm :)

Legend of the Guardians!

You know that one badass owl movie? I remember going to the theaters to watch that movie with my sister last year when it came out! The thing about the movie that captivated me was the soundtrack and the fact that owls can fight! Although, I've never read the book, the movie really showed me the amazing storyline the author created!

Here's some of the songs!
30 Seconds to Mars - Kings and Queens
This was used in their trailers but I don't recall it being in the movie....unless it was in the credits! :O

Owl City - To the Sky
WAHHHH. I LOVED THIS SO MUCH ♥ When that joyful scene came up, I felt so bubbly inside...

Trust your gizzards!
Well, that's all I got to share. For the ones who haven't watched the movie, you have got to! :)

Okarie love ♥!

Do you guys know about the Popteen model Matsuoka Rie? She's also known as "Okarie" when you take the ending of her name attaching to her first name. I was browsing around the internet when I saw a video of many japanese youth achievements. Okarie was one of them because she got well known through her cell phone blogging! She's just such a cute girl since she  would take pictures of herself before and after makeup along with tutorials. Sometimes she would draw a picture to try and explain her eye make techniques!
Did you know she's also the director of a new gal brand called Ank Rogue?

She was also in a music video and did a collaboration with another music artist. Ah, gal makeup does make you look like a porcelain doll--which I like! The first time I even knew about Popteen was looking at a chinese bookstore one day and I saw a really, really girly cover of a magazine! I eventually bought the japanese issue at another store. Who knew that I would get the 30th Anniversary issue? SHE WAS SO PRETTY. I was immensely amazed of how makeup can change your features. Sure, she may not look as good without makeup; not many of us are.

I found this at Himestyle's xanga. The summer trend at Japan was all about the sailor/marine theme. Vibrant blue, white, and red colors were very popular in the stripes pattern. :) Wonder what next year's trend will be?

So in the many issues, I've read scanned online, she was always shown in her famous short hair. I just found a picture of her with long hair!

I wanna grow my hair long too...

Binder issues....

I have been roaming around my house looking for my 1 inch folder. Really....this is practically the second time I had misplaced it. This just gives me a nice idea...going for the 2 inch folders. A folder so thin can get misplaced so much. Clumsy me. Last year I had no problem misplacing my folder because it was hardly taken out!! My lanyard was always lost and eventually found.

The main problem was thinking if my essay drafts were in them. My AP Lang assignment is due tomorrow for its final draft. Was it in there...? NOPE. *relieved* Now I can go on to typing! Oh darn, I forgot to do my three freewrites, better do it right now! Why can't blogging be my homework assignment?

Must. Find. Folder.

Back from school...!

So, it's been months since my last post an I have been really enjoying my classes! Yes, even the dreaded U.S History class. Since today was Tuesday, I forgot that there was a NOVA club meeting! :( It was previously named Science Olympiad but the name has been changed to um, well... make it more exciting?

Anyhow, going onto physiology, I don't even want to get burns anymore. Our teacher lied about how she didn't want to show us the 3rd degree burn after being shown with the first two. BUT! Really, just look at those Rotisserie Chicken you see at Costco; that's practically how your skin would look like. I am thankful to our skin's most important job of protecting us from all the harmful substances that would easily make us sick. Speaking of sickness, the trumpet section of the marching band has been getting the Hands, Foot, and Mouth disease. It's where you start getting these blister-type bumps where it would just hurt a lot. It's a very contagious disease and you can easily get it through bodily fluids. Yesterday a friend couldn't swim in the pool because getting it in the water would infect almost the whole team! No swimming for two weeks?

Finally, there's Art Club. We have meetings every Wednesday in the school's ceramic class and that may be my most favorite classroom in campus. We recently had button design submissions and I was so frustrated to see how many empty circles were in my sheet that I randomly spewed up some random images. The one I worked the most on would be the nice center where I drew a moon and star. The way I outline my images are unevenly bolded. I would start off with a plain ol' lineart then continue to add bolded layers. Here's an image I drew! (I couldn't find my original ones when I first started)

Ignore my beloved seal. It looks like a Dewgong from Pokemon... with an attached mermaid tail. LOL The deer-rudolph thing was also random. Hehe, the sweet potato chips was for a friend that couldn't get enough of these chips I shared with him. Overall, I enjoy drawing with this style because I can leave it uncolored! I don't think I could imagine it being colored because I would mess up! Oh yeah, that last one there was random too. Spazzing with additional features.

Recap ofwhat I did!

I don't know but I just have this bad habit of not updating my blog! But I wanted to tell you guys about my July because I went to anime expo and yesterday's Harry Potter midnight premiere!! Anime Expo was pretty fun and there were two things special about it.... first thing is that it was their 20th Anniversary. Now, the second important event that happened over there was HASTUNE MIKU'S concert!! Tickets were sold out online within three weeks of release and funny thing was that when their facebook page announced that there was less than a hundred left, I had to quickly purchase them!

Oh yeah, I also met Wong Fu Productions. :D It was a surprise since I was waiting outside and my friend just suddenly told me about it. Read more to see a picture!

Just some things :D

This past week has been all so boring! Jess and I had to go to the shop in Glendale to help my mom in her work and so I was used as a guinea pig for nails... Even though Jess has a license to legally do nails, her work isn't all that great yet. She's been frustrated going there since it ruins all of her plans to hang out with her friends. Well, moving on to the next topic.... The prizes from Grace's giveaway I won came here! ^-^ It took a while because she had to finish up with school and so of course she wouldn't have time. But here's a photo :
I won a pair of Daiso lashes and a Crystal Eyelid patch~
Even if giveaway prizes are small, at least it's still nice to win something, isn't it? These items are so going to help me prepare for the upcoming Anime Expo next week! Oh yeah, speaking of eyelashes, I was trying out the basic things for gyaru makeup like the way they put the liner and lashes and read more for my outcome :

Father's Day Golden Curry

Hey guys! I always feel so lazy all the time that I didn't get to blog about the Father's Day I had! Remember the Golden Curry Extra Hot roux I was talking about? Luckily my sisters didn't know what to make so I decided to make the curry! I was super excited to be able to cook curry again even if it was from a roux. So... first off...
Potatoes!

Candydoll's CM

I've just recently discovered that Tsubasa Masuwaka starred in her own Candy Doll commercial. Not only that but the music in the commercial is her debut through the name of "Milky Bunny." Pretty cute, isn't it? Just a year or two ago, she sang "Magic To Love" to promote for the perfume brand! You know, the one with the para para...:D

The two contrasting themes are still really pretty and of course, the bunny ears! I think I really like the background with all the candy and sweets :3 If you can find the link that shows the making of the commercial, check out the beginning....right when it starts! You can see ALL of Tsubasa's products she has used!

Soooo long ago?

Just wow, I had forgotten to write on this blog for a month already! So sorry about it. Well, things that have happened to me in the past month was a lot of school work. Don't you just hate how teachers happen to cram projects at the LAST weeks of school? It's all fine now because school has finally ended with the welcoming of SUMMER~ WEEEE!! After this vacation, I will be a junior in high school....with the addition of taking the SATs.

Well, anyhow... I still want to sell this Diable baiser/Yumetenbo dress~
$42 +$3 shipping~
U.S & Canada, Only accepting Postal Money Orders

What have I been doing all this time? Lots and lots of food. Look at this picture from around 2 weeks ago. My dad bought an 8lb catfish and we needed a knife to cut that meat. My mom also made and fried some eggrolls!
Did I mention there was also some clams? :)

Another thing is that Anime Expo 2011 is coming up and I can't wait till I go there because it's going to be my first AND I got a ticket for the Hatsune Miku concert! Pretty cool for a first timer, right? Oh and I also got myself some eyeshadow and liquid eyeliner.

One more thing, my supermarket had a sale for curry roux and I happened to see this box of Golden Curry...
Hey! I've never really seen the extra hot version before! (well, not a lot) Hehe, just $2.99 for it. I've tried the many previous versions and I've never really felt that kick. Maybe this one will change my mind.

Spring Break ♥

Oh, how I love a nice week off of school~ Well, I hope to be able to do something since I am like a hermit at home ._.; Maybe go to Little Tokyo's bookstore and buy some fashion magazines since I'm so behind on reading them! My stuff on Taobao is processing to Ms.Zeng from taobaospree.com but two items are going to take at least 3 weeks because of custom sizing. Guess what I'm going to be....?

Yes...a maid!
It looks so nice! Doesn't have too many details with the frill but just a nice simple dress ♥ It's going to be my first time going to Anime Expo so I might as well get something to dress up as. Maybe in mid-April I'll post up pictures of my MASSIVE taobao package.

By the way, I'm currently selling this pair of circle lenses.
EOS Barbie King Brown; Plano $25 USD
SOLD~!

School frustration...

Ugh, don't you just HATE group projects...especially the ones your group so happened to decide "recording." Well, what sucks is that I foolishly had to use my dad's JVC hard disk camcorder and after all that recording...I didn't have the USB cable to transfer it in. Ugh, another problem that adds on could be the frustration into the people of the group! I understand that sometimes the leader could also get uneasy about all the ideas and suggestions your group members spout out but TRY to look like you even want to listen! The moment you hear something you don't want to listen is that you tend to give a plain nod then throw it all onto the rest of the members.

If the worst comes to worst, we might have to do it live. What do you mean "we can't?!" What's wrong with acting like goofballs having fun on the stage? *messes hair* There's nothing wrong with doing it in front of the class...butttt there's one who gets extremely nervous and I can cope with that. You already know you're very shy in front of the class. Can't you start working on improving your courage presenting in the class? Everyone gets this in their lives and some last longer than others. I believe that the person will then start to overcome this fright and in the future will start getting used to presenting in front of others. 36 students is bad? Imagine presentations to an entire industry.

Starting a blogger!

It's just me and no one else.... :D I'm not really sure what to write about because I'm really not used to typing things of what I think in MASSIVE amounts. Hmm... I'll just write this much and edit it later! It's pretty late right now. Anyone want to teach me how to make a cool and cute layout?

Edit: Hmm this post needs pictures! I'll add this in :)

Woah, woah, woah. I look like another person!!

Hehe, this isn't my real look! In this picture I am wearing a wig that goes up to my belly....weird since I've never seen myself like this. I'm also wearing....no makeup + circle lenses. It's the GEO Bambi lenses under the Princess Mimi label. These are actually my first pair too ^^

(Maybe I got 15mm so I could get used to them first...then say how "small" 14mm are, ahaha)
Love the limbal ring.

I'll make a new post later time soon.
