Legend of the Guardians!

You know that one badass owl movie? I remember going to the theaters to watch that movie with my sister last year when it came out! The thing about the movie that captivated me was the soundtrack and the fact that owls can fight! Although, I've never read the book, the movie really showed me the amazing storyline the author created!

Here's some of the songs!
30 Seconds to Mars - Kings and Queens
This was used in their trailers but I don't recall it being in the movie....unless it was in the credits! :O

Owl City - To the Sky
WAHHHH. I LOVED THIS SO MUCH ♥ When that joyful scene came up, I felt so bubbly inside...

Trust your gizzards!
Well, that's all I got to share. For the ones who haven't watched the movie, you have got to! :)

Okarie love ♥!

Do you guys know about the Popteen model Matsuoka Rie? She's also known as "Okarie" when you take the ending of her name attaching to her first name. I was browsing around the internet when I saw a video of many japanese youth achievements. Okarie was one of them because she got well known through her cell phone blogging! She's just such a cute girl since she  would take pictures of herself before and after makeup along with tutorials. Sometimes she would draw a picture to try and explain her eye make techniques!
Did you know she's also the director of a new gal brand called Ank Rogue?

She was also in a music video and did a collaboration with another music artist. Ah, gal makeup does make you look like a porcelain doll--which I like! The first time I even knew about Popteen was looking at a chinese bookstore one day and I saw a really, really girly cover of a magazine! I eventually bought the japanese issue at another store. Who knew that I would get the 30th Anniversary issue? SHE WAS SO PRETTY. I was immensely amazed of how makeup can change your features. Sure, she may not look as good without makeup; not many of us are.

I found this at Himestyle's xanga. The summer trend at Japan was all about the sailor/marine theme. Vibrant blue, white, and red colors were very popular in the stripes pattern. :) Wonder what next year's trend will be?

So in the many issues, I've read scanned online, she was always shown in her famous short hair. I just found a picture of her with long hair!

I wanna grow my hair long too...

Binder issues....

I have been roaming around my house looking for my 1 inch folder. Really....this is practically the second time I had misplaced it. This just gives me a nice idea...going for the 2 inch folders. A folder so thin can get misplaced so much. Clumsy me. Last year I had no problem misplacing my folder because it was hardly taken out!! My lanyard was always lost and eventually found.

The main problem was thinking if my essay drafts were in them. My AP Lang assignment is due tomorrow for its final draft. Was it in there...? NOPE. *relieved* Now I can go on to typing! Oh darn, I forgot to do my three freewrites, better do it right now! Why can't blogging be my homework assignment?

Must. Find. Folder.

Back from school...!

So, it's been months since my last post an I have been really enjoying my classes! Yes, even the dreaded U.S History class. Since today was Tuesday, I forgot that there was a NOVA club meeting! :( It was previously named Science Olympiad but the name has been changed to um, well... make it more exciting?

Anyhow, going onto physiology, I don't even want to get burns anymore. Our teacher lied about how she didn't want to show us the 3rd degree burn after being shown with the first two. BUT! Really, just look at those Rotisserie Chicken you see at Costco; that's practically how your skin would look like. I am thankful to our skin's most important job of protecting us from all the harmful substances that would easily make us sick. Speaking of sickness, the trumpet section of the marching band has been getting the Hands, Foot, and Mouth disease. It's where you start getting these blister-type bumps where it would just hurt a lot. It's a very contagious disease and you can easily get it through bodily fluids. Yesterday a friend couldn't swim in the pool because getting it in the water would infect almost the whole team! No swimming for two weeks?

Finally, there's Art Club. We have meetings every Wednesday in the school's ceramic class and that may be my most favorite classroom in campus. We recently had button design submissions and I was so frustrated to see how many empty circles were in my sheet that I randomly spewed up some random images. The one I worked the most on would be the nice center where I drew a moon and star. The way I outline my images are unevenly bolded. I would start off with a plain ol' lineart then continue to add bolded layers. Here's an image I drew! (I couldn't find my original ones when I first started)

Ignore my beloved seal. It looks like a Dewgong from Pokemon... with an attached mermaid tail. LOL The deer-rudolph thing was also random. Hehe, the sweet potato chips was for a friend that couldn't get enough of these chips I shared with him. Overall, I enjoy drawing with this style because I can leave it uncolored! I don't think I could imagine it being colored because I would mess up! Oh yeah, that last one there was random too. Spazzing with additional features.
